];_1._nuary 3, 19~ .. WILMETTE ~ LIFE' 68 Con firmed at St. A.ugustines ·by Bishop.·. And-erson ., The Right Rev. Charles P. Anderson, D. D., D'. C. L., presiding bishop of the Episcopal church, in an address at St. Augustine's last Sunday congratulated the rector and congregation on the splenqid growth and advance of tite parish, stating that he had watched it with the greatest of pleasure and satisfaction. The church was crowded to the doors and after the service the bishop held an informal reception in the Parish house for those he had just confirmed and the congregation in general. The following were confirmed by the bishop, sixty-eight in all, the second or third largest class in the diocese of Chicago. St. Augustine has added, since last December, 125 to its communicant list by confirmation alone, more than one third of the total communicant's membership of the parish. One s~riking feature is that one half of the total number of communicants are under 25 years of age. On Christmas eve at the midnight service. 220 of those present receivcn the Holv communion, a larger number than at any of the services of the Holy communio;1 in th e history of St. Augus'.. tine's.
