Basketeers Engaged Make Vacation Days Their Busy Season .____~ '{ New Trier High school basketball players have been spending much of their vacation spell practicing at the Leslie F. Gates gymnasium. Following their double victory over Oak Park in the first Suburban league engagement December 20, the Gray and Green players rested until the day after Christmas and have been practicing daily since that time, with the exception oi Sunday and New Year's day. Tv.-o practice games were played with the alumni, resulting in one victory for thr alumni and one for the high school. On Friday, December 27, the high school first team trimmed an alumni team 34 to 22. Coach Grater used no substitutes in this game. Monday of this week, however, the alumni won 22 to 17, whe·n Coach Grater sent in a number of substitutes.
