BRIDGE TOURNEY STARTS Announcement is made by officials of the Shawnee Country club that the Evening Cards Bridge tournament has begun for the months of January ~nd February. They are going to New York first and will take the boat from there. Fair June 4 and 5 A meeting of the Kenilworth Garden club was held on Tuesday morning, January 14, at the ~ome of Mrs. Edward J. Phelps, Letcester road, Kenilworth. · There was a large <tttendance for this important annual meeting of the club, at which tim~ the reports of the various commttt~es were made and plans discussed for the coming season. Of especial interest were the activities planned for a Garden Fair, to be held in the Kenilworth Assembly hall and grounds on June 4 and 5. Announcement of these plans will be made later. Of further interest to Garden club members is the Illinois Garden club Flower show, which witt take place April 5 to 13, at the Chicago Stadium. It is called the Central States Gard.e n and Flower show. A number of the members of the Kenilworth Garden dub will enter exhibits for the event. An excellent report of the presidents' meeting ·o f the Garden Club of America was given by Mrs. Mark Cresap. This meeting is composed of the presidents of the garden clubs affiliated with the Garden Club of America. Indian Hill club announces that the rest of the winter dances will be held at the Kenilworth club through the courtesy of the officers of the Kenilworth c1ub.
