Peten, Club Sings at Sunday Club. in Fall atM. E. Church Former Resident, Dies Charles V. L. Peters, 1245 Judson avenue, Evanston, a former resident of Wilmette, died Saturday evening, February 15. Mr. Peters, who was an c ld settler of Chicago, lived on Greenwood avenue in Wilmette from 1904 to 1920. He was born in Poughkeepsie 1 N. Y., and came to Chicago in 1857. For fifty-four years he was connected "·ith the Fuller· and Fuller Wholesale Drug company. Funeral services were Leld at the chapel of the First Baptist church in Evanston on Tuesday, with J.:,urial .1t Rosehill cemetery. Mr Peters is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Ba;dwin Peters, two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert A. Pond and Mrs. Lois P. Rawll and a granddaughter, Mrs. l"rank Cary Pritchard, all of Evanston. Walter Moore, 340 Woodland avet:ue, Winnetka, suffered a fractured skutl on Monday when he fell thirty feet from a scaffold inside the Wilmette Parish Methodist church which is under construction at the corner of \Vilmette and Lake avenues in \iVilmette. Moore accidentally stepped -~ff the scaffold and struck the cement floor thirtv feet below. He was rt1shed to the Evanston hospital in the \\."1mette police ambulance where he wa<; attended by Dr. Hawkins. An inqn!ry CJt the hospital on Wednesday aft·~r noon revealed that he was restingquietly and that his condition ,,·:ts slightly improved.
