Max Engels, 82, of 1515 N. Sheridan Rd., Wilmette, died at 9:15p.m. Saturday in Evanston Hospital, where he was taken after becoming ill at home. Funeral services were Wednesday at the Haben Funeral Home, Skokie, with burial in Memorial Cemetery, Skokie.
He is survived by the widow, Bessie Dickinson Engels, a son, Gordon, of Niles, two daughters, Mrs. Betty Rose Rich of Northbrook and Mrs. Anna Mae Kaiser of Lincoln Park, Mich., 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
