Green, Howard E. (Died)

Howard E. Green, 66, of 1630 Sheridan Rd., Wilmette, died Feb. 1 at Billings Hospital, Chicago. Mr. Green was the retired chairman of the Great Lakes Mortgage Corp. In addition he was a past president and a director of the Chicago Mortgage Bankers Association and a board member and treasurer of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. He had served as president of the Metropolitan Housing and Planning Council and as a member of the Chicago Crime Commission. A former resident of Winnetka, Mr. Green was chairman of that village's zoning commission, its zoning board of appeals, its planning commission, and its caucus committee. Surviving are his wife, Eva; his stepmother, Mrs. Arthur W. Green of Orwell, O.; a son, Howard E. Jr. of Deerfield; a brother, Jay D. of Dallas, Tex., and two grandchildren. Memorial services were held Monday at Winnetka Congregational Church.
