Henry G. Meinshausen, aged 62 years, passed away at his home, 351 Oak Circle, Saturday, November 13. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 16, from the Gilbert Anderson funeral home in Chicago. The services were conducted by the Lessing Lodge, A. F, and A. M. in lieu of the Robert Lash lodge of Chelsea, Mass.

Mr. Meinshausen was born in Geestemuende, Hanover, Germany, May 15, 1865. He attended school and high school in his native village and educated himself preparatory to following commercial vocations. In 1882 he came to the United States and first made his home in Cincinnati, O.; later removing to Logansport, Ind., where he was married in 1892 to Miss Mary Mielmann. In 1894 he came to Chicago, taking up his residence in Edgewater. He moved to Wilmette in 1920 and has since made his home. on Oak Circle.

During this time he was engaged in various lines of business of a commercial nature and was made the representative of the German-American Oil company for this section of the United States. In this he was quite successful and was able to build an extensive business for them, which the late world war interrupted temporarily.

He had been ill for something over nine years previous to his death, having suffered intermitently in this time from diabetes. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Meinshausen, and three brothers, Georg and Gustaf of Norwood, Cincinnati, O., and William Neinshausen of St. James, Mo. Burial was at Memorial Park cemetery.
