Many improvements have been made in New Trier High School this summer. It now presents all the appearances of a small sized university. The one main building has been added a wing on each side, and a row of shops for students' use in the back. A large auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,200 is situated to the right with a lunch room of the same capacity, running back toward the rear of the lot. On the left a building containing a girls' gymnasium at the north, a fifty-foot swimming tank in the center, and a huge boys' gymnasium and indoor running track at the south end of the building. These are the exterior additions, but the interior of the big main building has also more capacity. It is a wonderful school and it has not a rival in the state of Illinois. For opportunity in study, standard, athletics and physical development New Trier has ranked with the best. A cinder running path is now under construction, a regulation perfect diamond that rivals the one in the Cubs' park is finished, a number of tennis courts are planned, and there is room for more.
